Walk In The Park

Dear mother, may I leave tonight,

To go and see the Ferris wheel,

The stars have never been as bright;

Tonight I’m meant to feel.

We had such a lovely day

Walking, as we always do,

We talked all of our fears away…

But away they never stayed.

So this is how it’s gonna be.

I swear I’ve fought with all my might,

And I’ve truly loved our time as “we”;

But mother, I will leave tonight.
